SimpleSoft Expands its Simulation Offerings

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, February 18, 2008: SimpleSoft, a leading provider of SNMP test and simulation tools, today announced the release of SimpleAgentPro (Ver 11.0), along with SimpleAgentEnterprise, and SimpleAgentRunner. The SimpleAgent family of products are network simulators that allows users to develop, test, train and demonstrate network management applications without requiring thousands of real hardware boxes.

SimpleAgentEnterprise extends the capabilities of the popular SimpleAgentPro to allow the simulation of 20,000+ devices.

SimpleAgentRunner provides the runtime execution of preexisting maps to allow sales and training personnel to provide animated demos and training. SimpleAgentRunner is limited to simulating 20 devices.

“As SNMP deployment and network sizes have grown, our customers simulation requirements have grown also,” said Sudhir Pendse, SimpleSoft CEO, “With SimpleAgentEnterprise, our customers can now simulate large scale networks with tens of thousands of network elements to carry out scalability, performance, disaster recovery and pre-deployment testing, on their increasingly powerful servers.”

SimpleAgentPro can also be useful during development, demonstrations and training. SimpleAgentRunner provides the runtime capabilities of SimpleAgentPro to simulate already created networks on the laptops of sales executives. With SimpleAgentRunner, they can demonstrate the capabilities of their network management offerings against a dynamic network which is simulated on their own laptops.
