SimpleSoft Announces New Version of SimpleIoTSimulator

Adds MQTT Support for Sensor Simulations

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA–(June 1, 2015) – SimpleSoft, the leading provider of network and IoT management simulation tools, today announced version 2.0 of SimpleIoTSimulator, which allow users to develop, test, train, demonstrate and support IoT platforms for today’s growing IoT sensor deployments.

Among other improvements, the new release includes support for publishing MQTT messages. Both MQTT version 3.1 and version 3.1.1 are supported and a built-in MQTT learner is included which subscribes to a broker to receive publish messages for subsequent playback.

“As IoT evolves from promise to reality, we have continued to enhance our simulator offerings,” said Sudhir Pendse, SimpleSoft CEO. “Our customers can now simulate thousands of sensors to carry out scalability, performance, and pre-deployment testing of their IoT platform solutions.”

SimpleIoTSimulator can dramatically reduce test infrastructure setup costs by simulating thousands of sensors and gatewyas on a single machine. Simulated environments can then be used during application development; while doing functional, scalability, error and pre-deployment testing; when duplicating customer issues; and for training and sales demonstrations.
