SimpleAgent Release Notes

SimpleSoft is pleased to announce the following new releases of its SimpleAgent product.

SimpleAgent Version 5.0 Release Notes July 22, 2005

These notes describe the new enhancements made to the SimpleAgent since Version 4.0.

IPv6 Support
The SimpleAgent now supports communication via Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). A radio button in the main window controls which version to use.

When sending traps the user can either specify an IPv4 or IPv6 address. The SimpleAgent will automatically recognize the IP version based on the address type.

SimpleAgent Version 4.0 Release Notes April 20th, 2001

These notes describe the new enhancements made to the SimpleAgent since Version 3.0.

Enhancements
Support for software based licensing, instead of the older dongle based scheme.
Updated MIB compiler and mibsorter.
Support for additional MIB file extensions and MIB directories via MIBDIRLIST and MIBEXTLIST keywords in the sagent.ini file.
Fixes for Counter64 encodings.
Fixes for index computation for tables with instances of type Gauge.
Inclusion of the pdf manual in the installation.
Registration id information is also part of the installation.
